The next time President Bush visits Tuskegee he may have a much
smoother ride than he experienced on his last visit in April, thanks
partly to a quip the president made about the city's potholes.
Gov. Bob Riley
announced Tuesday that Tuskegee was getting a $500,000 federal
community development grant to fill potholes and make other
improvements to city streets. The city is providing $50,000 in local
funding for the project. Read more
