Guys,
Booker T. Washington’s granddaughter, our Margaret Washington, passed. It was such a pleasure to talk to her and watch the response from the youth who heard her. She will be missed.

Remember the Tuskegee Washington Candy store where anyone
could see the candy being made? The smell was great!
The city held bids for the old Holiday Inn site on the
Interstate. No one showed up to bid. Hummmmmm, IT’S A
SHAME…we did not bid on our own future. Damn!!!!
Tuskegee’s Coach, Willie Slater, and his Golden Tigers
rebounded from a tough loss to Miles last week. The tigers
had a 22-15 win over FortValleyState. The game was played
at TuskegeeUniversity on Saturday. Clark Atlanta U is coming to town this weekend. Five weeks later it will be Homecoming on November 7th at 1:00 p.m.
I’m still getting calls about toxic dump sites in Macon
County. Damn sure wasted the land.
Below is what one person had to say about the We the People
letter:
Good letter...pointed but perhaps not pointed enough
...do hope something comes of it...when the people lead,
leaders follow...the residents of Tuskegee should seize the
town and throw the lot of them out...literally by the seat
to their pants… I would love to live in Tuskegee if it
were possible ... it is such a beautiful area.
The movement to take back our city is gathering steam.
Let’s hear what you have to say.
DOLLAR STORE, comes in a kit, lots of Spanish construction
workers.
THE BLOCK, new parking lot, lot of Spanish workers,
Lots of work going on in the OAKS.
